To transform, or to change, is vital to the continued existence of any living entity. Arguably, humanity could not survive without the constant of change. Following, it has been said the only true constant, in life, is change. History has documented ‘change’ perfectly, throughout the millennia. Change has captivated the hearts of nations, bewitched the minds of young, and enthralled the master’s hand. So ask yourself this: Why when one changes, when one seeks higher ground, does humanity recoil?

There are those who exist to thwart progress, hold to the past, and envision a false and flawed future. They are not evil, nor are they damaged, they are merely the dregs of past ages, vestiges of previous glories, and they are they that cannot transform. Looking back will do no good, not accepting will bear no progress, and false accusations include abhorrence and suspicion. Experience is the cure for a decayed environment; knowledge is what breeds the desired change.

Positive experience rears pure euphoria, producing resourceful feelings of ease and elation, which encompass one’s new surrounds with feelings of comfort or adventure. This is the nature of human life, thus it is a required change needed in everyone. Without it, one cannot hope to grow beyond one’s bounds, but to be tied with the bands of desire, deceit, and innocence. Without change, humanity could never have hoped for the better life, the worlds beyond, and the endless imaginings of the mind. Without humanities transformation, from one degree to another, humanity would never have resolved to the complex organism the breaths change to an ever syndetic earth. Now is the time to change.

Mother Russia: Awakened

"It is easy for people in the West to forget that Russia is the world’s largest country by landmass – nearly twice the size of the United States or China. Although economically weakened, it retains the mentality of a giant." It has been argued that Russia changed after the Cold War, yet the West may be surprised, to note, that the change was not for the better.

Russia, soon after the collapse of the U.S.S.R., was a less than a shadow of its former image. It hardly had the ability to provide for itself, to maintain the lands that remained loyal, and yet, it lived a life situated to be doomed. Instead of a new Democracy, thieving monarchs rose to seize commodities and power, disregarding Democracy's foundation, the law. As these crime lords grew, the seeds of distrust, foreboding, and hate emanated toward the West. Thus, Democracy's last hope to establish itself died; a mere few years after the fall of the communist state.

Distrust was indeed seeded long before the end of the Cold War, and never uprooted. After the demise of the Soviet Union, Russia still saw itself as a strong influence in its old satellites. It felt honor bound to oversee their needs, as they believed the former satellites would provide for Russia's. The United States, however, felt that Russia's influence ended along with the Cold War... who is meddling with who's internal affairs? Russia rightfully feels the West is strangling its chances for a seat in world affairs, by destroying diplomacy with its old domains.

Ending the Cold War brought Russia's weapons industry and economy to a thunderous halt. The United States, however, was bestowed with the final title of 'Global Superpower', with no opposition to the West, the world became a vast playground, in Russia's eyes. Russia only had the ability to state its opinions, confined, within the walls of the Security Council. Enmity grew as the United States disregarded most of what the UN and Russia had resolved. The ability for any one country to oppose America was history.

During the past fifteen years, above all, Russia's symbolism and pride has been attacked: Russia became the punch line to most Western jokes, symbols highly regarded were tarnished, and old ideologies were mocked. Russia felt the West was intentionally belittling it, the West enjoyed gloating over its fallen foe. Mother Russia, too weak and soft spoken to defend, was morally tattered, and dreamed of revenge.

When Putin became president in early 2000, he felt a need to cooperate with the West. After September 11, 2001 Putin saw himself as aiding the West by allowing US forces to operate out of bases in Russia’s former southern region. He did not feel, however, that meaningful gratitude was returned and represented.

Seeing the dire situation of his country, Putin felt the need to revive the economy. In the few short years of his presidency, Putin has been able to restore a failing economy to a growing international vault. Statistics show his implementations raised the Russian National GOP by almost 6.25% per year, and shows no sign of slowing. Putin has unnerved his international equals, and feels that it is time for Russia to awaken, to step to the plate as another 'World Superpower'.

Unfortunately, I do not believe that Russia can be denied Global Status any further. The atrocities toward the Russian pride, I fear, run too deep. Now that Russia is in a position to regain part of its former strength, I believe it would be wise to instill as many cooperative, joint, operations and decisions as is possible between. Now is the time for the world to change, now is the time for a revolution of ideas, now is the time for the Bear and the Eagle to stand united, inseparable, for the world lies in their overpowering claws; for if they fight, everyone loses.

The Face of Evil

Evil has taken many faces over the centuries: once it was viewed as a shrewed snake that tempted an innocent woman. It has been seen as an old hag who foretold of ill omens while poisoning apples. Another image, burned into the minds of many, is the Disney classic: a Demon burning, in fiery red flames of Hell, with dark massive wings, closed to his back. However, what we see today, as evil, is far removed than what evil was during ages past.

Evil is tangible by action, seen by the world around; thrusting its immortal head into war, poverty, greed, and ignorance. Examples can be seen in every case study. Nations of history have crumbled to ashes from within; the evil of ignorance. Influential leaders have sought power beyond their domains, destroying not only their own lives, but the lives of countless millions; the evil of greed. The struggle to survive has swept through various lands, behooving those inhabitants to forcibly provide for their families; the evil of poverty. The most visible of all, the want of nations to unjustly provoke one another; the evil of war. But what does evil look like today? A woman? A snake? A fiery black demon, doomed to flee at the first signs of light? I believe that evil is nothing more than this: ourselves.

We, by nature, are prone to act upon evil. As such, evil has taken the form of our hidden selves, the lives we do not allow others to see, the lives that we live while none are watching. It is the plans that we plot in private, the ill deeds we justify in our hearts, and the peoples we manipulate from afar. One could say: evil looks like the average human: a woman in her mid 30's, as beautiful as can be; a decrepit old man, wheezing for the want of oxygen; a young man, in his mid twenties, wandering the streets of life, whispering lies, mistrust, and pain.

Wherever, and whatever evil is to you, it is your duty to confront it, to destroy it, on a personal level. Only you have the power to instigate justice and peace within. None here living have the power to abolish evil wherever it forms, for none have the power to sanctify humanity wherever it goes.

The Woman

"Is there such a thing as friendship between a man and a woman? Needless to say, friendships differ. A friendly relationship between men breeds respect, friendship between women can be admired, yet friendship between a man and a woman is often viewed with suspicion, mistrust, and even enmity on both parts."

It has come to my attention that a woman, at best, is impossible to cope with. At the fullest of times, man as an individual, cannot do enough to please or appease. Clearly, the ability to please a woman, in this world, is a spiritual gift, given to the few and the just. Unfortunately, High School students fall neither under the "few" nor the "just".

Surprisingly, women have the innate ability to throw various "screens" around their emotions, forcing men toward many false ideas, leading to the lowest levels of despair and disgust. As I have learned from those around me, any given woman plots further into the future than even a practiced seer would dare foresee.

A woman enshrouds herself in lies, if only to please the emotions within. Creating a haven that they believe to be in complete control. When something does not proceed according to plan, a woman will assume her interests were met needlessly. If plotting did not produce the desired end result, a woman will assume a man, deceived by various "screens", will provide for her lost whims and wishes. If a woman realizes that none of the previous is available to her disposal, she will weep into the arms of her fellow women, never addressing the problem at large, but putting her trust in another scheming woman, like herself, to complete the task at hand.

Men, do not fear, for the woman is only as strong as you allow her to be. If you allow her to control you in your High School years, you are doomed. If you allow her to dwell on your mind in your twentieth year, you are loosing hope. If you allow her to encompass your actions in your twenty and fifth year, you have overcome the passions within yourself, and are ready and able to take one to wife. But until that pinnacle is reached, be weary, for even the simplest of women are impossible.

Global Warming

Global Warming trends have been on the rise for over 150 years now. Science has proven this irrefutably. Some scientists have even gone as far as to use this information to 'prove' that humans are responsible for this rise of .5 degrees C in the last 150 years. Some so-called-scientists have also gone to 'prove' that if this trend does not stop then normal life on Earth will cease to exist: as oceans rise, storm intensities increase, deserts diminish, agricultural land moves North, precipitation increases, and polar ice sheets melt. Now don't get me wrong, but these are all possible consequences of global warming, but I ask you now, why does no one speak of the alternative... global cooling.

Global Cooling is a natural process that Earth uses to...well... cool itself. Think, every hurricane you hear of, every Volcano you speak of, and every weather phenomenon you think of is all connected with the Earth's innate ability to cool itself. It is as simple as ABC, the Earth must cool itself, or the planet would cease to exist. Ice Ages of the past are proof of this concept. After every major heating event (the last being ''The Midievil Heating Trend" and the largest one prior to that "The Mesozoic Heating Trend"), earth's warm climate has always been followed by an Ice Age, a cooling trend, of sorts (the most recent being "The Little Ice Age" and the largest one prior to that, which is still active, being " The Mesozoic Cooling Trend"). These Ice Ages have ranged in drops of Global Temperatures from anywhere between .5 C and 20 C degrees (and we complain about a .5 C increase globally). What in the world would a drop of 20 C degrees do to humanity...

If the Mean Global Temperatures were to drop 20 C degrees within the next 10-20 years (assuming we are still in the most recent Ice Age, in a period called "Interglacial", which proposes a drop of 20 C degrees as very real possibility), then what could we has a human family expect? We could safely assume that the polar ice sheets would expand, glaciation would once again be on the rise, forcing agricultural land South, deserts would increase in size, precipitation would slow, storms would be less intense, and the human family would be forced to the equator to live....

HOLD IT! The Equator? How in the heck are we going to put 7 Billion people on the Equator? Where is the landmass? Honestly, if we already have problems feeding 7 Billion, then how in the world are we going to support 7 Billion on no land and no food (agriculture has nowhere to move South, only North, remember)?

I suppose the topic of this blog was to show that global warming seems playful to the harsh reality of global cooling. Humanity as we know it cannot survive a cooling trend, but can easily adapt to a warming trend. It is about time we did something about the increasing global temperatures, but we also need to realize that as a human family we are blessed, we have never been forced to live through a fully fledged Ice Age.

So as to accommodate what I want to say, when I want to say it, I have created "Vestiges of My Imagination", here you may read up on my various ideas and opinions of the world. I will speak on things I like, things I have read, and things I see as relevant. I ask you to comment on my blogs, due to the fact that I value your many opinions. I warn you, that readers read at their own risk, and there is a chance that you may get into trouble with agreeing with my views...
